Salt wall systems

With our salt wall system, you can create a feel-good atmosphere in almost any room! This salt wall kit is designed as a hanging system for easy, quick, and clean installation of a salt wall. The salt wall system is available with or without lighting. Suitable rooms for salt walls include: living rooms, bedrooms, offices, reception rooms, yoga studios, doctors' offices, massage rooms, hotels, shops, restaurants, and many more.

With this salt wall kit, anyone can build a salt wall, because the construction is very simple and is about as difficult as assembling and hanging a bathroom cabinet: the salt bricks are simply hung on a grid that is doweled to the wall. Each brick has two pre-drilled holes into which you screw in matching threaded pins using a cordless screwdriver. Finally, a foam strip is clamped between the salt bricks to fill the joints, and you're done! No glue is required, and no bricks need to be cut, which means there is no dust.

The salt wall system is available in various designs. In the complete version, the light source is even mounted on a back plate, ready for connection. This means that the finished salt wall is optimally backlit with warm light across its entire surface and glows in a beautifully warm, orange-red “salt light.” Over time, the salt stones become slightly warm, creating a light and heat effect that creates an incredibly cozy atmosphere of well-being. The salt wall system is manufactured in a modular design. Each standard module is half a meter wide and one meter high. It can be hung upright or crosswise and can be expanded at any time with additional modules above, below, or to the side. Now there is also a new square module measuring 50 by 50 centimeters. This means that all dimensions in width and height can be implemented in fifty-centimeter increments. In any case, the result is a homogeneous salt surface and, once assembled, it is no longer possible to see that it is made up of individual modules. Everything can also be easily dismantled and reassembled elsewhere. The salt wall system can be used to cover surfaces of any size.

Rock salt building materials

Rock salt (halite) is not only used to salt food, but also as a building material for interior wall coverings. Due to its beauty, red rock salt in particular is used for the production of salt building materials in the form of salt bricks, tiles, and salt blocks. The latter can be used to build rustic salt walls, as are often found in salt caves. These broken stones are available in a wide variety of sizes and weight classes. They are usually bonded together with a mixture of white cement and marble adhesive, while salt bricks are glued with epoxy resin to build smooth salt walls. Salt tiles, on the other hand, are often glued to a translucent panel, such as acrylic. Both salt bricks and salt tiles are available in various sizes and made from red or white rock salt. There is also a embossed salt brick with a rough surface for rustic-looking salt walls.

A salt wall is almost always backlit, as this really brings out the inherent beauty and natural structures of the salt. In any case, you need good craftsmanship skills to build a salt wall, especially when constructing a “natural salt wall” from salt quarry stones.
