Fine pink rock salt is the ultimate table salt!
The perfect salt for cooking and baking.
It is ideally suited for standard salt shakers.

It is less suitable as a bath salt, for which we recommend our medium-fine pink rock salt or our coarse pink rock salt.
It is also too fine for sewing into fabrics for bags. The medium-fine pink rock salt is perfect for this.

The fine pink rock salt is one hundred per cent natural. It contains no anti-caking agents, anti-caking agents or other additives. In addition to harmless carbonates such as calcium carbonate (E170) and magnesium carbonate (E504), most table salts unfortunately also contain questionable substances such as

Iron tartate (E534), up to 110 milligrams per kilogramme of salt permitted in Germany,
nanotechnological silicon dioxide (silicic acid, E551), which attacks the intestines and is permitted up to 10 milligrams per kilogramme of salt,
the blood lye salts sodium, potassium and calcium ferrocyanide (E535, E536, E538), up to 20 milligrams per kilogramme of table salt permitted in Germany. The latter are salts of hydrocyanic acid, which, however, can only be released with a very strong acid; stomach acid is not able to do this. Nevertheless, this does not necessarily have a calming effect! On top of that, these hydrocyanic acid salts may only be used as a separating agent for table salt and table salt substitutes, as well as for the colouring of wine. They are not authorised for any other foodstuffs!

These additives are used as release agents. They prevent the natural electrostatic attraction of the salt crystals and also transform the sharp-edged cube shape of the individual salt crystal into a rounded shape. This prevents the salt from clumping together and makes it easier to pour, making it very easy to pour into the pack during packaging. Filling fine rock salt without these chemical separating agents is more difficult. The salt crystals bounce around and literally stick to the plastic packaging, making it difficult to seal cleanly. This is why, if you look closely, you can sometimes see some salt dust inside the multi-welded packaging.

In order to minimise the natural tendency of fine table salt to clump together, all natural table salts are generally ground a little coarser. Nevertheless, even with this grain size of 0.3 to 0.5 millimetres, clumping can occur, especially in a humid environment. This is not a quality defect but, on the contrary, a clear indication of the naturalness of the salt - fine table salt clumps easily! Fine salt should therefore always be stored in a dry place. However, if clumping should occur with bagged goods, it can be easily removed with a few taps on the bag with a rubber mallet. We recommend putting a few grains of rice in the salt shaker. These attract moisture and keep the salt dry.

This fine pink rock salt is packed to 25 kilograms in a robust standard white woven polypropylene (PP) bag with a polyethylene (PE) inner bag.
