Table salt: the extra coarse, clear and cubed rock salt (crystal salt) is perfect for the kitchen mortar.
It is ideal for preparing brine, especially saturated brine, as the large salt crystals are still recognisable.
Perfect for use on the sauna heater in salt saunas: a simple, effective and convincing way to experience the effect of salt on the respiratory tract. Coarse chunks of clear salt with a diameter of around 2 to 4 cm are placed on the sauna heater. When heated, the salt is able to absorb more water from the air than at room temperature. The air in the sauna can also absorb more water and therefore also absorbs more salt. The salt softens the water and this effect is pleasantly felt in the bronchial tubes and on the skin. If the salt crystals are also sprinkled with water, the effect can be further enhanced.
The crystal salt chunks can also be used for decorative purposes in salt buildings, for example in salt caves, directly - as small decorative stones, so to speak - which are then backlit.
Like the red salt chunks, these clear salt chunks are suitable for use in lattice baskets and gabions. However, it is advisable that these are made of stainless steel.
Crystal salt is clear and transparent, with a pronounced cube shape, corresponding to the ideal of the salt crystal. It is so pure that you can see through it. Crystal salt has therefore been favoured for medicinal purposes since time immemorial, especially for eye applications.

This extra coarse, clear rock salt (crystal salt) is one hundred per cent natural. It contains no separating agents, anti-caking agents or any other additives.

This crystal salt or clear salt is the absolute purest salt. It contains no other salts or substances, unlike red salt, which contains tiny amounts of iron oxides and other salts. For this reason, it is also non-hygroscopic, i.e. it remains dry and does not attract water, provided that the relative humidity does not exceed 74 per cent(deliquescence humidity). The tiny amounts of other salts contained in red rock salt cause it to attract water. Unfortunately, the pretzels at the bakery are only sprinkled with roundish grains of salt (with additives), but these have a considerable hygroscopic effect, and the pretzels quickly become "lätschert", as we say in Bavaria. This should not happen with a medium-fine grain of ground clear crystal salt. A baker should try it out!
